I Know It's Over

I've been waiting for the paperwork to come through before mentioning this but yesterday I was sitting up here in my pyjamas reading through my book contract when Canada Post buzzed from the lobby and guess what? My revision letter had arrived! I spotted the editor's name on the package and immediately started babbling away to the mail person about how this was an editorial letter for my first novel.

So now I guess I have more than enough paperwork to qualify this as real. Random House Books For Young Readers bought my young adult novel, I Know It's Over, and it's due out in January, 2009.

I avoided looking at the book while it was being shopped around and can't remember the last time I actually read it, which means I have to acquaint myself with Nick and Sasha all over again. I'm looking forward to it, while simultaneously worrying that the whole thing will fall apart in my hands.

Doesn't 2009 sound weirdly futuristic? My head is still spinning.
