Some people have the impression that young
adult fiction is something to move on from, a stepping
stone to the general fiction section. I have no idea
whether I'll ever write a novel for adults but I do
know that I have no intention of moving on. So
when someone asks why YA I have to say that my truest
answer is infused in every note and word of REM'sNightswimming:
