The worldwide association of writers, founded in
England in 1921, with 130 centres around the world. PEN
fights for freedom of expression, working on behalf of
writers forced into silence by oppressive regimes.
Authors Guild: Professional services include contract
assistance and seminars on various topics.
Writers Guild of America: Labor union representing
film and television writers. The organization offers help
with contract negotiation, copyright protection etc.
Canadian Authors Assocation: Associate membership
is available to unpublished writers.
